I wonder if you can find it outside of a French-influenced culture - I forget if you're in Thailand or Vietnam? I don't remember seeing it in the US, but then again I'm not sure I ever really looked for it. Don't you love learning about new ingredients?!
I'm in London now. This old stone keeps rolling. I'll have a look here; there must be enough French/EU/melting pot diversity influence here I bet. And yes, learning new ingredients is so helpful.
What a bounty! If I had been deprived of fresh produce for a while and then suddenly found myself in a market like Neiafu, I would have a really hard time not buying more than we could go through before it spoiled! How did you restrain yourself, Nica???
